Teachers Pay Teachers - An Open Marketplace for Educators
Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) is a great website “where teachers buy, sell and share original teaching resources”. It’s an interesting concept, and I’ve been using the site for the past few months to find resources when my usual sources don’t have what I’m looking for.
I uploaded a few simple resources (basic classroom signs etc.) to see how it all works and it’s very simple! I have sold one or two resources and earned a whopping $0.60! There are many teachers who have used the site to earn large sums of money.
The main reason I like using this site is that the resources are created and uploaded by teachers, and part of what you pay goes to the person who spent time creating them. It would be better if a little more went to them of course, at the moment I think it’s 30%.
I always head to my favourite sites where resources are available for free (Seomra Ranga, Mash.ie, Primary Resources etc.), but if I can’t find what I need then TpT offers a good alternative.
